Using the International Character Input
In Postbox you can press and hold any key to bring up a set of International Characters. To insert a character, type one of the number keys 1-9:
If more than 9 options are available, click the + or type the + sign to display additional options:
Some character keys are supported as well. For example, holding down the quote key will display the following:
The new international character input mechanism is supported on both Mac and Windows.
Disabling
There may be cases where disabling the International Character Input mechanism is desired. To turn it off:
- Navigate to Preferences (Mac) or Options (Windows) / Composition / Typing
- Disable the checkbox for International Characters panel
