Email Settings for GoDaddy

Follow

IMPORTANT: Postbox is a standards-based email app that requires that IMAP, POP, and SMTP be enabled on the server. If these settings do not work for you (especially if you cannot send), please file a support ticket with GoDaddy and request that the following be enabled:

  • IMAP or POP
  • SMTP authentication << THIS IS NOT ENABLED BY DEFAULT!!!  You must contact GoDaddy and request that SMTP be enabled.
Please note that Postbox support staff cannot make these adjustments on the server for you, they must be performed by GoDaddy support staff.

GoDaddy has two email servers. One is Office 365, which is fully supported by GoDaddy. The other is legacy IMAP, which GoDaddy is no longer investing in.

Office 365 IMAP (recommended!)

  • Incoming Server: outlook.office365.com
  • Port: 993
  • Connection Security: SSL/TLS
  • Authentication: OAuth2 (Office 365)
  • Outgoing Server: smtp.office365.com
  • Port: 587
  • Connection Security: STARTTLS
  • Authentication: OAuth2 (Office 365)

IMAP Settings for GoDaddy Legacy IMAP Accounts
