Corrupted Attachments or Incomplete Folder Downloads

Some IMAP servers don't work well with a particular hidden Postbox setting.

1) Preferences / Advanced / Config Editor on the Mac or Tools / Options / Advanced / Config Editor (on Windows)

2) type in mail.server.default.fetch_by_chunks

3) toggle the value to false

4) type in mail.server.default.mime_parts_on_demand

5) toggle the value to false

6) type in mail.imap.fetch_by_chunks

7) toggle the value to false

8) restart Postbox.

After restarting, you will want to rebuild the index for the IMAP folder containing the message with the corrupt attachment.

Go to the "Help" menu and select "Trouble Shooting..." and then select this option:

__ Safe Mode - This temporarily disables all add-ons and custom settings.
__ Permanently Disable all Add-ons
__ Reset User Interface
__ Reset Caches and Search Index
_X_ Reset IMAP mail databases and Search Indexes
__ Open Profile Manager on Restart
__ Create Protocol Log File IMAP / POP3 / SMTP

Then restart Postbox.
