  • What platforms does Postbox support?

    At this time we support Windows and Macintosh.

  • Do you have plans for a Linux version?

    We do not have plans for a Linux version at this time, but we will continue to monitor demand.

  • What are the system requirements for Postbox?

    Please visit our download page for recommended system requirements.

  • What languages are available for Postbox?

    English, German, French, Spanish (Spain), English (British), Italian, Dutch, Portuguese (Brazilian), Russian, and Swedish. We will evaluate demand for additional languages over time.

  • Can I use Postbox for Gmail, Yahoo mail, AOL mail or other webmail accounts?

    You bet! Postbox will work with any IMAP or POP email server.

  • Does Postbox work like Gmail?

    Postbox and Gmail work beautifully together, a match made in heaven. But there are some important differences between Gmail's webmail interface and Postbox that you should know about. Please see our Using Postbox with Gmail page.

  • Can I use Postbox to get mail from my Exchange server?

    Postbox currently supports POP3, IMAP, and SMTP protocols, so if your administrator has those protocols turned on in Exchange, then you can use Postbox to send and receive mail from those servers. Postbox does not currently support native Exchange protocols.

  • Does Postbox include a calendar?

    Not directly, but you can use the Lightning calendaring extension within Postbox, which provides an integrated calendaring experience. Please see our visit our Lightning page to learn more.

    Note: Lightning is developed by a third party, and as such, is not supported by Postbox, Inc. 

  • Are there add-ons available for Postbox?

    Yes! Please see our Add-ons Page for a list of third party add-ons developed for Postbox.

  • Do you provide support for add-ons?

    Postbox does not provide support for the functionality of third party add-ons, as these are not developed by Postbox. If an add-on isn't working as you expect, or if an add-on is causing problems within Postbox, we recommend disabling the add-on or contacting the add-on developer directly for assistance.

  • Do unmodified Mozilla add-ons work in Postbox?

    Unmodified Mozilla add-ons do not work within Postbox at this time. Developers of existing Mozilla add-ons need to port their add-ons to Postbox. Sometimes this can be as simple as changing a few parameters, such as product, version, etc. Other times the porting effort may be more complex.

  • What if I don't see my favorite add-on listed?

    We work with extension developers as much as possible, but if there's a particular add-on that you really like, our suggestion is always to contact the add-on developer to have them port their add-on to Postbox.

 

Purchasing Postbox

  • What is the licensing model?

    All licenses sold on or after March 1st, 2016 are valid for Postbox 4 and 5, and are good for the life of the product.

    Licenses sold prior to March 1st, 2015 are valid for the version for which they were purchased, e.g. Postbox 3, Postbox 4, etc. To use Postbox 5, a new license key must be purchased.

    The licenses are per user, so one license will cover any/all machine(s) you personally use, Mac or PC. If more than one person will be using Postbox, then you will need additional licenses for those users.

    But note that we offer discounts starting at just two or more copies! Simply visit our Store and enter the desired quantity to see the discount.

  • How do I purchase or upgrade?

    Licensing

    If you purchase Postbox 4 today, you will receive a key that will also work in Postbox 5.

    Additionally, when you purchase a new license, it is now good for the life of the product. Pay once, use forever, and enjoy all future updates for free. This is true for any purchase made on or after March 1st, 2016.

    If you purchased prior to March 1st, 2016 and wish to use Postbox 5, a new key will need to be purchased.

    Pricing

    The retail price of Postbox 5 for new customers is $40.

    For a limited time, upgrades can be purchased at a discount. Previous Postbox customers will be notified via email and the Postbox start page with instructions on how to receive your discounted price.

    Free Upgrade Window

    If you purchased Postbox 4 on or after March 1st, 2016, or a Lifetime License before July 31st, 2010, then you already have a Postbox 5 key and no additional purchase is necessary. 

    Simply download and install Postbox 5, and your existing key will be used.

    Other

    Postbox pricing and upgrade policies are subject to change at any time (so lock-in your price now!).

  • Does a license key work on a Mac or PC?

    Yes! Your Postbox license will work on a Mac or PC! 

  • Do you offer discounts for seniors, non-profits, students, or other groups?

    Not at this time. But we encourage everyone to become a Facebook Fan, follow us on Twitter, or subscribe to our blog to learn about special deals as they become available!

  • Do you charge taxes?

    Only EU customers are subject to VAT taxes if they do not have a VAT ID. For more info, please see our VAT Information Page.

  • Can I try Postbox before I buy?

    Absolutely! Try Postbox for free for 30 days.

  • Do you offer a guarantee?

    Yes, we know that Postbox will provide a terrific email experience for you, so in addition to our free 30-day trial, we also offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. That's up to 60 days to determine if Postbox is right for you!

    If for any reason you would like a refund, simply submit a refund request within 30 days of purchase, and we'll promptly refund your order -- no questions asked!

  • How do I retrieve a lost license key?

    Please enter the email address used to purchase Postbox on this form and we'll send your license key to you right away.
